Omar Khan

Financial Planner
Omar@Stonewaterplanning.com

My name is Omar Khan, and I was born and raised in the Metro Detroit area of Michigan. I am a seasoned financial planner with extensive experience gained through both prosperous and challenging times. I have a deep understanding of the financial landscape and a proven track record of helping clients navigate complex financial situations.

I earned my Bachelor of Science degree from Wayne State University in Detroit and my Master’s from Loyola University Chicago Quinlan School of Business. Before transitioning to the financial industry, I spent several years at Ford Motor Company, where I received several accolades, including Dealership Rep of the Year and Ford Motor Company Top Achiever. After leaving Ford, I dedicated myself to providing sound financial advice.

Specializing in investment planning, retirement strategies, tax optimization, and wealth management, I combine a thorough understanding of market dynamics with a client-centered approach. I am committed to creating customized financial plans that align with my clients' long-term goals and aspirations.

Growing up in Michigan, I developed a strong sense of community and a deep appreciation for the values of hard work and perseverance. These principles continue to guide my approach to financial advising, ensuring that each client receives personalized and thoughtful guidance. A significant part of my professional and personal journey was shaped during the 2008-2009 recession, a period that tested the resilience and adaptability of financial strategies. Michigan was hit particularly hard by the Great Recession, leaving many families in a state of financial insecurity.

My wife, Beenish, and I recently got married, and we reside in Celina, TX. Outside of my professional life, I enjoy swimming, going to Orangetheory Fitness, and watching Detroit sports, particularly the Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Lions.

Evan Mayse, AIF®

Financial Planner
Evan@Stonewaterplanning.com

I bring over 12 years of experience to my position as a financial planner at Stonewater Financial. My goal here is to make a positive impact on clients by offering advice on all aspects of their financial picture.

My passion for financial planning started at a pretty young age. In high school, I would attend my mom’s meetings with her advisor. I enjoyed learning about the stock market and hearing the advice he gave my parents on their wealth. I knew fairly quickly that I wanted to be in a position someday that allowed me to have similar conversations with clients of my own.

I went on to earn my BBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from the University of Oklahoma. During my time in college, I took a course on Value investing that really allowed me to explore the research and analysis side of investment performance. This is what solidified my passion for the markets.

Every client I work with has their own unique background and story to tell. I make it my job to uncover what matters most to them and give them peace of mind in knowing they’re making good financial decisions. This is done through comprehensive planning, thoughtful advice and clear communication.

I currently live in Dallas with my wife, Ashley and our dog, Remington. Our newest addition is expected to arrive in September, and we couldn’t be more excited. I enjoy staying active in my free time by attending a local Crossfit gym. I like to unwind and relax by reading, playing golf, trying new restaurants, listening to live music and traveling.

My name is Cody, and I’m a financial planner and SpecialCare planner with over nine years of industry experience. In my position here, I work to create a better life for families and help them develop a lasting legacy. As part of the Dallas financial consultants for personalized planning, I provide tailored plans and one-on-one advising.

I earned my bachelor’s in investment finance from Texas Tech in 2014 and my ChSNC designation in 2018. My passion for the industry began with an internship during my time in college and continued through graduation as I began my own practice.

I grew up with a brother with special needs, which presented some unique challenges for my family. My parents worked with a financial planner who specialized in helping families like ours. I was inspired by the way he helped us implement strategies and develop a plan that protected our futures. When I started my own practice, I focused on taking a holistic approach to financial planning. Soon, I was able to dive into the complexities that come with special needs planning. I’m proud to use that experience and help families navigate these challenges today.

When working together, you’ll find that no question is off the table. I am fully committed to your plan and addressing every concern you have regarding your wealth. Growing your confidence and understanding is my top priority, and we’ll work closely together to make it happen.

I live in Colony, Texas with my wife, Sara, and our two children, Avery and Cooper. Family is the most important thing to me, and I strive every day to be the best husband and dad possible. My family and I enjoy getting outdoors as much as we can. At any given time, you’ll find us hiking, camping, playing sports or relaxing on the lake.
